Went to Reno for Mothers Day Girls only Had a wonderful Dinner here on Mom's Day.

This place was very eleagant very nice a pleasure to dine here you not only get one waiter but two makes you feel special. My Sister in law and I had Steak and lobster it was the best Filet mignon I ever ate I am not a filet person but this one had the best flavor I think I ever had it's cooked on a wood fire. The Lobster was a very large tail excellent flavor. My friend Nina ordered the bone in ribeye Very large steak she liked it alot I love ribeye but I gotta say the Filet beat it.  They also have delishes Cheese bread they give you before and during he meal comes hot and fresh. You must go to this restaurant If your in the Reno area. This restaurant is a 5 star place!

Karmen's B.B.Q Tracy, Ca

Went to Karmens B.B.Q for lunch today was looking for a Tri tip sandwich. This place just opened in Tracy about a week ago they have shops in Hayward and also in Fremont, Ca. Family owned and operated for 32 years.

Well getting back to the food They dont sell sandwiches they give you meat on a plate and potatoe salad and a slice of bread cut in half for $7.00 dollars, Not a bad price you do get alot of meat as you can see in the picture I had the mild sauce it was very good lots of flavor meat was very tender they dont have tri tip it's Brisket. 1 to 5 rating I give it a 4 I will definetly go back but im taking my own roll I want a sandwich.

Garcia's Mexican restaurant in Carmicheal Ca.

Went to Garcia's yesterday It's in Carmicheal Ca, When you sit down tey bring you a basket of chips and salsa just as every mexican restaurant does they also give you a bean and cheese dip these are complamentry. Also ordered the cheese crisp for starter It's a crispy flour tortilla with chedder and montery jack cheese on top served on a pizza pan, It was pretty tasty. Ordered the green chili pork burrito Well it wasn't green it was more like a brown sauce Im used to a chili verde burrito this was not that. I wasn't to happy with it but that could just be me. also got the fried ice cream for dessert was pretty disapointed the out side should have neen crispy it was soggy not to good for me. I asked what was the coating waiter said it was corn and bran flakes sorry didn't like it. 1 to 5 I give it a 3 rating. I dont feel i would return.

Dad's Kitchen In Sacramento Ca.

Went to Dad's Kitchen in Sac, The other day it was nice evening went with friends. Ordered the Onion rings they come with a basalmic glaze on top ours were little soggy and not very hot like they were sitting for a little bit so make sure you ask them to be hot and crunchy. My son ordered the Mac and cheese not to tasty he wasn't very impressed kinda bland to my taste. We went for the dad's burger it was very good and very tasty the burger is cooked with the blue cheese and bacon cook on top at the sametime and comes on a very soft bun. Fri's were very tasty you have a choice reg, seasoned, Blue cheese and habanaro, I ordered the blu cheese and habanaro they were excellent. My Sister in Law ordered the chili cheese fri's they come in a preety good size soup bowl covered with shreded pork and cheese they were also very good. I do recomend this place it is pretty small in side and noisy. there is a very nice patio. Maria's Mexican Restaurant In Grass Valley,Ca

Had a super Burrito at Maria's today heard alot of good comments about this place and thought I would give it a try. It looks very plain but it was very tasty. As you can see it was as big as the plate only ate half no way I could finsh the whole thing. I know a  few people with very big mouths that could but not me im a lady! Inside Had chicken, black beans, lettuce,tomato,gaucamole, and sour cream.
The salsa was excellent very strong with the cilantro I liked it. This restaurant gets a 4 star rating.

Jamie's Bar and Grill In Sacramento,Ca.

Went to Jamie's Bar and Grill had another wonderful meal. This place is Great love it everytime I go here. You would never know from the out side that it's even a bar or a restaurant. Its located at 427 Broadway in Sac. Their closed on the weekends. The building is just plain there is no sign saying the name just a green awning with the address. http://www.jamiesbroadwaygrille.com. We ordered the Smoked prime rib, The Halibit fish and chips which they get their fish in fresh everyday flown in from Alaska, Tri tip sandwich, And the Garlic Steak Sandwich (Filet Mignon) MMMmmmMMM Good food! Clam chowder Is number one! The prices are alittle high but worth every penny. This place is a must go!!! 5 Stars!!! The Smoked prime Rib was excellent smoke flavor just burst in your mouth soon as it enters WoW... Prime Rib is served only from tuesday - friday Its a 1 pound Piece of meat.  Fish and chips 4 large pieces just the right amount of batter homemade tarter sauce was excellet. Tri tip was the best to me the sandwich was piled so high it was hard to fit it in my mouth but the flavor was awsome! Didn't try the Garlic Steak Sandwich (Filet Mignon)
But my sister in law loves it she always orders it when we go here. Can't wait to go back The staff are always friendly make you feel welcome everytime.

The Duck Club Restaurant, In Lafayette Ca.

Sorry I haven't Blogged For a while...

Went to the Duck club restaurant in Lafayette,ca. It was very nice alot smaller then what I expected but a very nice restaurant, Had French onion soup to start it was very good lots of flavor it has Gruyere cheese not swiss also topped with onion strings very differnt but i liked it alot. Full leaf ceaser salad my parents sheared it the kitchen split it, It was still a nice size for each person. Entrees I ordered the Cider-Brined double cut Pork Chop Came with yams and grilled apples, For me the yams were to small of chunks the apples were not cooked enough the chop was very good. Mom ordered the sour dough crusted Halibut she enjoyed it came with broccoli rabe it was not very tasty she said to green and bitter. Dad ordered the Veal Osso buco he didn't like it said it was over done not to much flavor so he gave it back and got the Rack of lamb he loved it lots of flavor. Brother ordered the NY strip steak with fries, He ordered it med-well it came well I really wont even comment on it ordering a steak Med-well to me its like why bother. But thats my opinion. Over all it was a lovly evening I would go back for the soup and really thats about all. The prices were what you would pay at any fine dining restaurant. 1 to 5 scale I do give it a 4 rating cause it is a nice place for a special occasion.

The Counter In Roseville Ca.

Went for dinner tonight to the Counter burgers in Roseville Ca, At, 1005 Galleria Boulevard Suite 150... It's in a very nice shopping center. Its the new concept where you are givin a clip board and you choose the burger you want lots of choices meats choices are Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Or Veggie. There is lots to choose from all the way down to the bun. We ordered Chili cheese fries, Sweet potatoe Fries, and fried Pickles it was all very good... As for the burgers I ordered the turkey with grilled onions and chipotle aoili on a pretzel bun it was very good. My Sister in law ordered a Beef burger with  lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheeder cheese and mayo. she liked it alot. This place is fun and the food is very good i would recommend this place. Scale 1 to 5 I give it a 5.. 

Back to Blue Fin Tuna, Tracy Ca.

Went to Blue fin tuna for lunch today had a bento box lunch. Comes with Miso soup, Salad,  Rice, I chose Teriyaki chicken and California Roll. It was very good The cost was only $9.95.  I really like blue fin tuna my favorite place for sushi :-)

Food Trucks in Los Angels Ca.

My Brother is in Los Angeles and he went to try some LA food trucks Grill'em all and Don Chow tacos were the two he tried. Heres what he had to say about what he Ate.

3 Tacos are from Don Chows Tacos (Al Pastor - Carne Asada - Chinese BBQ Pork) $5 The flavor was ok, nothing that I'd have to have again, they weren't bad but not great!... And from the Grill'em All Truck I had the "Waste'em All Burger" Pepper Jack Cheese, Beer soaked onions, Ortega green chillies and I added bacon $9.50. He told me the burger looked better then it tastes, But the bun was really good.

Black Bear Diner. Tracy, ca

Had dinner at the Black Bear diner tonight in Tracy Ca, Had a BBQ chicken salad it was very good and a very large salad couldn't finish it comes with lettuce of course avocado, cheese, black olives, tomatos, grilled chicken with BBQ sauce with Ancho chipotle ranch dressing. Been to this restaurant few times they have a very large variety of food its all comfort food very fresh I like this place. 1 to 5 scale give it a 4 star rating. I will definitly go back to this place.

Fog Harbor Pier 39. San Francisco, Ca.

Went to the Fog Harbor restaurant for Valentines Day for the first time. Sorry to say it was not as good as I was hoping. Ordered for starters the Blue cheese garlic (This is what made my son and I want to go here) Well when they bring you the bread it's stacked on top of each other so the cheese comes off of the top of   the bottom bread and stick to the bottom of the bread thats on top and and it was very dry, We sent it back :-( Also for starters we ordered Red chili prawns it was good had a little kick but to much bell pepper flavor for me. I ordered a wedge salad it was more like a half a head of lettuce good amount of bacon and a drizzle of dressing I had to ask for more dressing.  Entree we ordered Fish and chips sorry to much batter and not enough fish I took the batter off and just ate the small piece of plain fish and I mean plain there was not very much flavor.  It needed more salt, Also the french fries were old not fresh they came cold. Chocolate bread pudding for dessert it was good. On a 1 to 5 scale I give it a 3 star rating. The really good part was they take triple A card and we got 20% off the bill. I will not go back.

Piattis In Danville Ca.

Went for dinner last night at Piattis In Danville,ca. It was Excellent right now they have a special 3 course menu for only $25 dollars, You get soup or salad, entree and dessert. And for only 3 dollars you can have a very nice glass of wine. These are full entrees, I had the butternut squash soup oh my was it good very creamy and sweet, for my entree I had the Wood roasted chicken which was very juicy and had lots of flavor came with Buttermilk mashed potatoes and roasted butternut squash. Everything was excellent. Dessert I had Limon it's a warm lemon pudding it was like a soft cake on top with a delish warm tart lemon pudding on the bottom. My Mom ordered a Apple cider cured pork chop shaved brussels sprouts and bacon pomegranate-pistachio relish. I tasted it was very juicy and tasty. My Son ordered a pizza he loved it also for dessert we got white chocolate bread pudding excellent and the Tiramisu.On a scale of 1 to 5 stars,  I give it 5 stars Im definetly going back here.

House Kitchen and Bar Sacramento Ca.

Went to a new restaurent last night with my Sister in Law In Sacramento Called The House kitchen and bar at 555 capitol mall. Parking is a little tricky you have to park in a parking garage that is like on the side of the restaurant NOT the B of A parking garage the one past it and the restaurant does validate so parking is free.

Well we ordered the spinach and  artichoke dip it comes with french bread thats been toasted on a char broiler it was very good but could have used little more salt. I ordered the wedge salad it needed more dressing it was very fresh and tasty I liked it. Entrees: I ordered the Brasied Short ribs I was disappointed it's served  with 3 chunks of beef with small scoop of mashed potatoes in the middle the meat was little tough and the flavor was just not there for me :-( Should have ordered the tacos. My Sister in Law ordered the Chicken & spinach enchiladas with red & green sauce, cotija cheese & Spanish rice. She said they were very good :-) I will go back to this restaurant I do want to try the tacos and the Breakfast fried rice with applewood smoked bacon & eggs. On a Scale I would give it a "4" And to let you know they are on restaurants.com.  

Knuckles Sports bar San Francisco Ca.

Went to a new restaurant the other day and I liked it I wouldn't say alot I just liked it. It's a sports bar it's located at 555 North Point st, It has TV's all around the restaurant and there are also two booths that have flat screen and a Ipad in the booth pretty cool. To get to the food we ordered on happy hour Buffalo Style Chicken  and  Asian Sticky Wings, reg price 11 dollars happy hour price 5.00 they were very good. I ordered the wedge salad lots of bacon it was a good salad. My husband ordered the sliders you get 3 to a order Angus beef,  Roasted Pork not BBQ comes on a nice bun with coleslaw also a crab cake slider you can choose which ones you would like he took two pork and one beef. I really like the pork it tasted like slow roasted pig MmmmMMmm Good. The beef was little over cooked so ask for it little medium. also we ordered sweet potato fries and garlic fries very nice size orders. And they have a kids menu my son ordered a grilled cheese. Dessert we ordered chocolate chip cookie pie very good... Over all I would return to this restaurant 1 to 5 scale I'll give it a 4. I would love to go here when their is a good game on. 

New Sushi Restaurant Ahii in Tracy Ca.

Went here for lunch today it opened up two weeks ago very nice place of course very clean also very eleagant for a plce thats in a strip mall next to a walgreens. I was very surprised what also suprised me was there menu no lunch menu or specials no bento boxes all ala carte. I feel it is little on the pricey side. I ordered miso soup which was not so hot just warm and also california roll had water to drink cost me almost $11.00 dollars for one person. The california roll as you can see in the pic was not so large of pieces and also the rice was alittle warm that kinda of turned me off. Sorry to say I dont feel like I would go back to pricey and not as good as Blue fin here in tracy.

Fraiche Yougart and coffee shop, San Francisco ca.

Had a very delish cup of coffee this place is right next door to the woodhouse fish co. When we walked up to the restaurant the smell of the coffee was over whelming as we were waiting for our table at woodhouse we went and bought ourselfs a cup of the coffee it had a very bold but smooth flavor loved it. We asked what kind of coffee they used they told us it is Blue Bottle coffee. Also whats so special about this place is they make your coffee one cup at a time in these porcelain cups. After dinner went in for a second cup. I cant wait to go back to this place for a cup of coffee. and next time im also going to try the yougart.

Woodhouse Fish Co In San Francisco.

Went to a new resturant last night in San Francisco, It's called woodhouse fish company they have two locations one on market and one on fillmore i chose to visit the new location on filmore Nice place small but nice also has a bar you can sit and eat. We went around 4:30 close to 5pm and we had to wait about 15mins for a table its first come first serve their was 5 of us.As the time went on the place was packed and people were waiting outside for a table.We ordered thier make it your self lemonade it was kinda fun they give you a glass with ice and lemon juice and on the side a kraff of sparkling water and simple syrup something differnt little to tart for me. Now to the food for starters we ordered  New England clam chowder Excellent flavor nice and thick and you can taste the bacon flavor nice sized clams, Wedge salad comes with maytag blue cheese and fresh beets fresh cherry tomatoes it was excellent also. Prawn cocktail I didn't care for it myself thought the prawns were small and little on the mushy side.We also ordered the garlic bread it had alot of flavor garlic and buttery. For the entrees I ordered the Lobster roll sanwich I was not happy I didn't taste the lobster flavor and I called ahead to ask if it was a warm sandwich and the lady on the phone told me it was thats what I was looking for but it wasn't it was cold I guess she didnt understand my question. The bun was warm of course cause it was toasted. My Husband and our friends ordered the Fish and chips its Alaskan Cod they were Excellent the batter was nice and crispy had kind of a sweet flavor nice size pieces. Our friend ordered a crab salad he didn't like it said it was fishy and he found pieces of shells it was given back. For dessert we ordered the sourdough bread pudding we loved it nice and warm good flavor and housemade whipped cream.The wait staff are very friendly and ready to serve and their always watching your table to see if anything is needed and clean off any dishes. All in all it was a good meal I will defintly return the prices are moderate I would give it 5 stars I do recommend this resturant.
